Target Audience & Audience Research

The reason for all of my ideas are based upon my audience research as the majority of my audience wanted to see a female antagonist and a male protagonist.
All of my film ideas revolve around two genres of either paranormal or thriller - which is what my audience wanted to see. The targeted age range is between 16 - 30 years old (so aimed at a younger audience) This has also been achieve due to the very intense plots used and the amount of complex features added to my film.

Here are my responses:

My first questions asked the audience what type of thriller they would prefer to watch. The Overall response was the audience would like to see a gruesome thriller consisting of a lot of blood, psychotic ideas and murders.

So that my film is enjoyed by my audience my synopsis will be adjusted so that it will collate a large audience and a positive response.

Surprisingly, my target audience has decided that they would like to see a female antagonist rather than a male antagonist.

So that my film pleases the majority of my audience I will be featuring a a Female Antagonist who will be trying to hunt down her murderer.
When researching I found out that surprising twists and a challenging story line are the most wanted aspects within a thriller.

Whilst researching, I discovered that Mise-en-scene was a very important aspect within a film due to realism. Without realism the film/product doesn't seem realistic and the film isn't believable, without believability no one will be able to relate to my film.

The final discovery whilst undergoing my audience research was that the story had to unfold quite quickly as if something is dragged out for too long viewers become bored.
